Home Security Included
Home security has increasingly been a great concern for many residents. Back in 2005, residents make up for about 30 percent of the security systems market and it has risen to about 33 percent during 2006 (National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, TX).
This makes it significant for home builders to include a home security system in all new homes.
C.V. Perry, for example, now includes Brink’s home security systems in all its new homes. Installation of the home security system and its wiring is easier when the home is being built. It is also less costly. Installing a system in an existing home is said to be twice as costly as adding it to a house still being built.
Home builders usually give home buyers several choices. Buyers can either hire an installation company for electronic monitoring, or hire another monitoring company. They also have the choice of using wireless individual devices like motion sensors and detectors. Systems can be upgraded with smoke detectors, more motion sensors, and cameras, too!
The lifestyle of both parents working and houses left with no one present has also led to a boost on the home security market. This is another reason for the involvement of home builders in the home security businesses.
The security systems market is still currently expanding, and is projected to increase about 3.8 percent each year. Both existing homes and newly built homes contribute to this increase. With the continued rise in break-ins and crimes, who could stop the market from being as competitive as it is now?
